‘CAR T cells CURE and CAUSE cancer’ w. Roni Shouval

In this episode, together with Roni Shouval, we discuss the evolution of CAR T cells and their potential for cure: what does cure actually mean? We will also touch the hot topic of their potential for causing cancer, how likely it is and what this means for patients and clinicians alike.

Guest

Roni Shouval

Roni Shouval is a physician-scientist and Director of the Precision Cellular Therapy Laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He leads a multidisciplinary team focused on improving outcomes for patients with hematologic malignancies through the integration of clinical expertise with advanced computational approaches. His research centers on understanding the mechanisms of resistance and toxicity in CAR-T cell therapy and allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation. By leveraging machine learning, multiomic data, and predictive modeling, Dr. Shouval aims to develop safer and more effective treatment strategies for patients.
